AGM 2007
The 2007 AGM took place on Friday 11th May 2007 at 8pm. There were about 40 in attendance at Perth Free Church.
Rev. Kenny MacLeod proposed that the Council have authority to make changes to the constitution to make us compliant with any financial legislation imposed by the new charity regulations. Other changes to the constitution were still to be approved by AGM in the usual way. This was seconded by Sam Thompson and approved by the AGM. Kenny MacLeod also indicated he was stepping down from his role as Vice-Chairman and was thanked for his work. The Rev. Chris MacRae was nominated by Rob MacDonald to be the new Vice-Chairman. This was seconded by Philip Brown and he was duly elected and formally welcomed.
Kenny's last job was to read the chairman's report as Donald Matheson was unable to attend the early part of the meeting.
The financial report was delivered by Philip Brown and was approved by Andrew Burrows and Rob MacDonald and was also generally accepted by the AGM.
Andrew Burrows our camps co-ordinator delivered a report summarising the work of the camps in the year past and it was warmly received.
Sam Thompson then spoke about the Lidia Home and answered questions from the floor.
The AGM also approved the change of secretary earlier this year and Janet Matheson agreed to continue in that role.
The final talk was delivered by our guest speaker for the evening. Mario Dani Nagy (pictured above) is currently a theology student training as a ministry candidate for the Hungarian reformed Church. He spoke about his experience of EEFC and gave some thoughts about the future of our organisation. Kenny MacLeod and Chris MacRae thanked Mario particularly highlighting how encourging it was to have him with us and to hear what he said.
