Bucsin, Romania
The location is 44 miles east of Târgu Mureş in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. The camp-site is in a valley, with a river on one side, and a road on the other. The site is around 10 kilometres from the town of Praid, where there is a huge underground salt-mine, as well as a salt swimming pool. We are also reasonably near Korond, which is the most famous Hungarian market in the world, and an ideal place for buying souvenirs. The hills around the site are beautiful, and we normally go on a few walking excursions. This is an ideal way to get to know the campers better.
Most of the campers are in their early to late teens. We normally expect about forty to attend. The national leaders are usually from Târgu Mureş (Marosvásárhely in Hungarian). The accommodation is being improved year by year as part of the Bucsin Campsite and Water Project.
