Camps Co-Ordinator's Report
AGM Camps Coordinator's Report 2010
As summarised by the Secretary:
Sam mentioned special thanks to all the work that the outgoing Council members had contributed to, and also gratitude for all that Tim Donachie has put in to developing the Bible study booklets for the theme of this year's camps.
We are looking forward to the six camps in Hungary and Romania this summer, though it is expected that the Ukrainian camp will have to be cancelled due to lack of personnel on our side.
Sam stressed the importance of the camps work, noting the many campers that go through EEFC camps each summer - a lot of work is needed to be put in, but it is a work worthy of our efforts.
The Camps Coordinator role requires a lot of time be put in; the current work load is too much to be maintained under the current set up and as the Council seeks a replacement for the current Camps Coordinator, it is doing so in a process of considering a partnership of financial support to help take the position forward. This would be a non-executive position to fulfil the Council's wishes, and EEFC supporters are to consider in time if they may willing to support and energise the ministry with resources if and when such a position were set up.
The camps work has become the main work of EEFC and it is an area we want to grow and encourage. Our thanks go out to all who are part of the camps work and we thank the Lord for your partnership.
