Hejce Seniors 2009

Challenging, tiring, and thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding. The Senior camp was packed with campers and activities. The day began with morning devotions, in Hungarian, followed by English language lessons in small groups. The groups ranged from those with excellent English and confidence in using it, to those with limited practical ability who were challenging to effectively engage. Holly Smith added the extra spice of real live American English, and the other classes had to make do with the less attractive Scottish or Irish versions. Bible studies on Daniel were led in the small groups. The evening sessions were led by Tim and Robert, who managed to cover the entire Sermon on the Mount - each camper had a booklet outlining the talks. Then, to use up the remaining energy we had a Highland Games,a n invigorating hike up into the hills and a thoroughly entertaining concert. This was Marcus' last camp as leader, and he is handing on a spiritually rewarding task to those who will follow.
