The camp has been running since 1990. Campers come from all over Hungary; many locals attend but also folk from further afield. Accommodation is in a local school dormitory which hosts excellent facilities: a courtyard equipped for epic games of football, handball and basketball; space to host the annual Clash of Titans better known as the table tennis competition not to mention rooms for chess competitions; and the absolute bonus of running water on tap (showers and toilets come as standard). Sleeping accommodation is in small and medium sized dorms; these vary in musical taste and additional scents depending on their residents. Several hours are devoted to sleep, English class, Bible study and free time (not necessarily in that order). The weather is hot and the outlook is sunny. “Hód” or “Vásárhely” camp, depending on which side of Europe you come from, is undoubtedly the best thing to do with that spare week you have next summer.
