The 2007 camp at Hódmezővásárhely
There were around 45 campers at Hódmezővásárhely this year for the 18th annual English-speaking Bible camp. We had ten native English speakers and a similar number of Hungarian leaders, some of whom spoke better English than we did. On the spiritual side, the talks and Bible studies spent time on the basics of Christianity from the book of Mark. It was great for really explaining the gospel.
British and Hungarian Leaders. Can you tell which is which?
The lunches were superb this year and the afternoon activities included visiting the swimming pool and a trip away to a lake at Mártély. The trip was followed by a camp fire to cook your own sausage, onion and dripping, and a walk through the countryside back home under a starlit sky. The camp finished on Friday night with the usual concert followed by a very late night chatting with the campers until sunrise!
