Tivadar 2008
It was a pleasure being at camp in Tivadar. Everyone seemed to enjoy what turned out to be a very relaxed camp. The team from Scotland consisted of Aaron, Aonghas, myself and Kathleen and also team leader Marcus McCullough. As the week unfolded we got to know the campers - a motley crew of Hungarian teenagers supposedly teaching them English and mingling with them on trips and on the sports field. Aaron introduced a frisbee game which went down well and we also had a wee go at archery one afternoon. It was a bit hot for football my usual activity of choice - perhaps im getting on a bit.
The talks were on people Jesus met and the Bible studies were on Daniel. It was a great opportunity to share our faith with the youngsters some of whom were already following Jesus. We could also hear about the day to day lives of the campers as they told us about themselves. On the last night around the campfire many reported how much they had appreciated the week.
The singing was good and it was pleasing to be reaquainted with some Hungarian sounds and vocab.
Below can be seen the camp photo and EEFC team.
